TheSwitchboard

Every way a customer can reach you, wired into one board that routes itself. Patch a line, or watch it wire on its own. Once it is connected, you never touch it again.

At 11pm, you were the switchboard. Every call, every text, every form, patched through by hand.

01· The weight · 11pm

You were the board

Every call, every text, every form found you. And you patched each one through by hand, on the couch, at 11pm, again.

Nothing moved unless you moved it.

02· The channels

Six ways in, one of you

A missed call. An after-hours text. A form nobody watched. A DM lost in requests. An 8:01 voicemail. A quote buried in the inbox.

You cannot stand on all six lines at once.

03· The turn · wire it once

One cable, and it drains

Patch a channel into the board a single time. The backlog you were carrying empties down the wire, and the board draws its own line onward to where it goes.

You lay each cable once. You never lay it again.

04· Always on

Then it routes itself

Every signal after that finds its own way. Caught, connected, and sent on, with no hand on the board. The operator field flips off your name.

It does not sleep, and it does not miss a line.

05· The life · after

You are not on the board anymore

The night runs itself now. The lines still ring, and every one still finds its way, while you are somewhere else entirely.

This is the first cord you cut. It is not the last.

Study 02 · Connect

One board.
Every channel finds its way.

Everything you just wired is the work Susanoo does the moment someone reaches out. Catching the call, answering the text, replying to the form, seeing the DM, returning the voicemail, pulling the quote out of the inbox. It does not need you on the board. That is the point.

Six lines wired once. Every signal routed since, without you.

Ten business days. That is how far away this morning is.
