This Cookie Policy explains how Susanoo Inc. (“Susanoo,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at susanoo.ai and our related subdomains, including app.susanoo.ai and link.susanoo.ai (together, the “Website”). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control them. Where we combine cookie data with information that identifies you, we treat the combined data as Personal Information under our Privacy Policy.

Susanoo Inc. is a Canadian company based in Ontario, and we serve clients in both Canada and the United States. Our handling of Personal Information collected through cookies is governed by our Privacy Policy and by applicable privacy laws, including Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec’s Law 25, and, for United States residents, applicable state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information. Cookies set by the site you are visiting (in our case, Susanoo) are “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by anyone else are “third-party cookies,” and they enable features such as analytics, embedded scheduling, and marketing.

We also use related technologies that are not strictly cookies, including browser local storage (small values stored in your browser) and pixels or tracking scripts. We describe the main ones below.

How you can control cookies

When you first visit the Website, a cookie banner asks for your choice. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can reopen the banner at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in our footer. Essential cookies cannot be declined because the Website cannot function without them.

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Until you accept, analytics and any advertising tags run in a restricted, cookieless mode and do not set identifying cookies. Your choice is remembered in your browser so we do not ask again on every visit. You can also clear or block cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the Website may then not work as intended.

The cookies and similar technologies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

These are required for the Website to work and for basic security. You cannot decline them.

• Consent choice: stored in your browser (susanoo-consent) so we remember whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies.
• Region and currency preference: stored in your browser (susanoo-region, susanoo-currency) and short-lived cookies (geo_region, geo_cur) so prices show in the right currency for your region.
• Hosting and security: cookies and tokens set by our hosting and forms provider (Netlify) to serve pages, balance load, and protect forms against spam and abuse.

Analytics (set only after you accept)

These help us understand how the Website is used so we can improve it.

• Google Analytics 4 (cookies named _ga and ga). These run in Google’s cookieless consent mode until you accept, after which they set cookies to measure pages viewed, sessions, and general usage. We use this in aggregate and do not use it to identify you by name.

Functional and marketing (set only after you accept)

Our customer platform is a white-labeled version of GoHighLevel, provided by LeadConnector LLC. We serve scheduling, forms, and visit tracking from our own subdomain, link.susanoo.ai.

• LeadConnector and GoHighLevel tracking: a script loaded from link.susanoo.ai records Website activity and links it to our customer relationship management (CRM) system so we can follow up on enquiries and measure marketing.
• Embedded scheduling and forms: when you open the booking calendar or submit a form, LeadConnector may set cookies needed to load and operate those embeds.

LeadConnector acts as our service provider (processor) for this activity. Its handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not use Flash cookies, and we do not currently run third-party retargeting or social advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and the cookie banner before any such cookies are set.

Other tracking technologies

Cookies are not the only way to recognize visitors. We and our providers may use pixels (also called tracking pixels or clear gifs), which are tiny files that tell us when a page has been viewed or an email has been opened, and browser local storage as described above. Many of these rely on cookies, so declining cookies limits them.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for how to respond, so the Website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. You can still control tracking using the cookie banner and your browser settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the technologies we use or for legal or operational reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Please revisit it to stay informed.
