Running your business on Susanoo means trusting us with your information and your customers'. Here is exactly how we handle it, protect it, and give it back.
The short version. Your data is yours, it is encrypted, we never sell it, and if you ever leave you take all of it with you. No lock-in, no hostage, no fine print.
Where your data lives, and how it is protected
Your data lives in enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure run by established providers, the same platforms that power thousands of businesses. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, so it is protected both while it moves and while it sits stored.
Access is limited to authorized Susanoo personnel who need it to run your service. No one outside that gets to see it.
You own your data
The data in your system is yours. The leads, the contacts, the conversations, the records, all of it belongs to you, not to us.
You can request a copy of your data at any time. If you ever leave, you take it with you. We never hold your information hostage.
This is on purpose. We want you on Susanoo because it works, not because leaving is painful. The day you decide to go, your leads, contacts, and conversations leave with you in full.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell your data. We do not rent it, and we do not hand it to advertisers. The only outside parties who ever touch it are the vetted third-party service providers we use to run the platform, and every one of them is bound to protect it and use it only to deliver the service.
Your information exists to run your business. Nothing else.
How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as there is a real reason to.
While you are a client, we keep it to run your service. When your contract ends, we delete or anonymize your operational data, the personal information of your leads and customers, within 90 days. You can request deletion sooner at any time.
A few things we keep longer because we have to. Financial records like invoices and payments are retained for the period the law requires before we delete them. And once data is anonymized so it can no longer identify a person, it stops being personal information, which lets us keep aggregate insights without holding on to anyone's details.
The rules we follow
Susanoo is a Canadian company. We operate under Canada's privacy and anti-spam laws, PIPEDA and CASL, which govern how personal information is collected, used, and protected, and how marketing messages are sent on your behalf.
We also serve clients in the United States, and we respect the data rights granted to their customers under applicable state privacy laws.
