Cookies
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This notice explains the cookies and browser storage that susanoo.ai uses, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and the choices you have. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information.
What these are
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. Session storage is a similar space in your browser that is cleared when you close the tab.
Always on
These let the site do what you ask. None of them holds your name, email or phone number.
region (cookie, set by Susanoo, 1 year) Remembers whether you picked Canada or the US with the country switch, so susanoo.ai opens on those pages next time. It is set only when you click the switch, and it holds "ca" or "us" and nothing else.
susanoo_consent (cookie, set by Susanoo, 12 months) Remembers your choice on the cookie banner, so we don't ask again on every page. It is set only while analytics is switched on: when you make a choice, or when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal and you have not made one.
susanoo_consent_at (cookie, set by Susanoo, 12 months) Remembers the date you made your choice on the cookie banner, so "Cookie settings" can show it. It holds only that date, and it is set only when you make a choice yourself.
susanoo:funnel:v1 (session storage, until you close the tab) Keeps your answers to the roadmap and application questions (your industry, country, province or state, your answers about each department, and the size and revenue range you pick) while you move between steps. It never holds your email, phone number, website address or any tick box. It stays in your browser and reaches us only if you submit a form.
announce-dismissed (session storage, until you close the tab) Remembers that you closed an announcement bar.
Error reporting (Sentry, no cookie) When something on the site fails in your browser, the site sends a report to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., United States). The report holds the page address, your browser type and your IP address. Sentry sets no cookies, and we configure it to remove email addresses and phone numbers before a report is sent. This happens only when something fails, whether or not you accept analytics.
How we pick your country
If you open susanoo.ai without having used the country switch, our hosting provider tells us which country your connection comes from. We open the Canadian pages for Canada and the US pages for everywhere else. We don't store that lookup. You can switch country at the top of any page.
The booking calendar
Our booking page shows a calendar run for us by LeadConnector (GoHighLevel), which may process information in the United States. It loads only on the booking page. While it loads, LeadConnector sets these under its own address, not susanoo.ai, whether or not you accept analytics on our banner.
__cf_bm (cookie, set by Cloudflare for LeadConnector, 30 minutes) Helps tell people from automated traffic, to protect the calendar.
ghl_analytics_user_id (browser local storage, set by LeadConnector, until you clear it) An ID LeadConnector uses to count visits to its booking calendar.
The calendar also loads its fonts from Google, which receives your IP address when it does. We do not use the calendar to show you advertising.
Only if you say yes: analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and steps help people, for example how many people start the roadmap or click "Book the discovery call". Nothing from Google Analytics will load until you choose "Accept". If you choose "Reject", it never loads.
_ga (cookie, set by Google Analytics on susanoo.ai, 2 years) Tells one browser from another so visits can be counted.
_ga_[ID] (cookie, set by Google Analytics on susanoo.ai, 2 years) Keeps track of the current visit.
hero_variant (cookie, set by Susanoo, 30 days) When we test two versions of the home page headline, this remembers which one you saw, so you keep seeing the same one and we can compare the two. It holds "control" or "challenger" and nothing else. It is set only while a test is running, and only if you accepted analytics.
Google processes analytics data on its own servers, which may be in the United States. We have turned off Google's advertising features, and we don't use analytics to identify you by name.
What we don't use
We don't use advertising or retargeting cookies or social media pixels, and our own pages don't use browser local storage. The one exception is the booking calendar described above, which keeps LeadConnector's own ID there. If we add anything new, we'll update this notice first and, where it needs your agreement, ask you on the banner before it runs.
Your choices
A banner asks you on your first visit to choose "Accept" or "Reject". The site works the same either way.
You can change your mind with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. A change takes effect straight away.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as "Reject" and analytics stays off unless you turn it on yourself. If you made a choice on the banner earlier, that choice stays in place until you change it.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the region cookie, the site still works; it just won't remember your country.
Changes to this notice
When we change what we use, we update this page and the date at the top.
